Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette Review

Hi everyone! I hope you are all well. I have a review post for you all today. As most of you will know - Urban Decay decided to add a new palette to the NAKED range and they called it the "Basics" palette which is a smaller palette which is the MATTE companion to the previous palettes. I own both original naked palettes and love them both and use them everyday. I even hit pan on the shade foxy so I'm especially happy that it's featured in this palette ;) Anyways.. onto the details:

Urban Decay says: A matte palette by Urban Decay, featuring six gorgeously Naked neutrals—including four never-before-seen shades.

Price Tag: $32.00 CAD available at Sephora and some SDMs.

My Overall Thoughts: Is it necessary? no. Should you be running to the stores to get it if you have the other naked palettes? no. I do love the naked range from UD very much and believe that you really get your money's worth with that. Same with this one. My only gripe with it, is that its advertised as the matte companion but contains a shimmery shade and the black shade is quite gritty which I'm not a fan of. I do like the size and packaging and how convenient it will be for travelling. My recommendation is that if you have the other ones, you won't "need" this one, but it's nice to have and convenient in my opinion!

Will you be picking up the Naked Basics palette? Let me know in the comments below!

thanks so much for reading! xo

  4. I've been thinking about this palette and have been unsure if I need it or not. I have a lot of similar colours but there's just something about these Naked palettes that call to me. LOL
