Hi everyone! I hope that you are all well. Today's post will be a haul post. As some of you may know, I recently went to Paris. A lot of french skincare is raved about in the beauty world and even though I'm lucky as a Canadian to have some of these brands here, the price differences in Paris were astonishing! I thought I would take the opportunity to buy things that I would not be able to find here by certain brands and also stock up on some old favorites and of course rack up the savings. Here's a mish/mash of everything that I bought beauty related while I was in Paris.
If you ever end up going to Paris, let me tell you, finding these things is not hard at all. On nearly every street corner there's a french pharmacie and you can tell with its bright green sign. A lot of the stores carry their own deals so I recommend checking out a bunch of them since some stores carry certain brands while other stores don't!
Bioderma products - I got the face wipes because I love the micellaire cleansing water already so I'm curious to see how the wipes are and it is not available here. Also I opted for the handcream set and the lipbalm set because it's not available in Canada either and I wanted to get some beauty products as presents for friends too and it was easier to buy it as a bundle!
My beloved Embryolisse moisturizer. This is holy-grail status right here. I love this stuff so much and I never want to be without it! What an awesome deal I got for a duo pack since I was first introduced to this at IMATS but even with the currency exchange, I paid nearly half in Paris for two for what I would have paid for one at home!
Phyto 7 - if you watch Lisa Eldridge's long haul flight video you know that she raved about this. We have phyto products at sephora but they are quite expensive. I am a huge fan of the shampoo but I did not manage to find it in stock, so I just opted for this leave-in treatment. I've been using it loads since I got it so expect a full review!
Lastly, I got some good old favorites which I love and I stocked up since the price difference again is staggering. I got the nuxe lip balm (I think I am the only person who prefers the stick version to the pot version) and I got two extra bottles of Bioderma even though I already have some at home (can never have too much of this) and I also got a cleansing water that we do not have in Canada and it's a micellaire water but for dehydrated skin. I have not given it a whirl yet, but I shall keep you all updated!
I loved browsing in the French pharmacies because it was quite something to see a drugstore filled completely with skincare. It's awesome and the deals they have too are wonderful. It was my favorite place to shop and you can ask the boy, we wondered into many pharmacies during our week there! I highly recommend checking it out even if you are not familiar with French pharmacy brands because they are quite something! :)
I hope to have a Paris post up soon and I'm thinking of doing them alongside with the Paris vlogs that have been going up on my youtube channel, except I will include more photos in the posts, so be on the lookout for that!
I hope that you all enjoyed this post and I will see you all in my next one!
thanks so much for reading! xo
